Sinead and Dom's Wonderful Wedding in Belfast

Today we have the pleasure of sharing Sinead and Dom's fabulous wedding, which took place at the unique Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast. Photographer team, Simple Tapestry, were on hand to capture their beautiful day.

Hollie from Rosehip and Berry, a beautiful floral studio, had helped Sinead decorate their wedding venue with gorgeous floral details that really brought the place to life. Blooms and foliage were used as table centrepieces and adorned on golden candelabras, and the mixture of flowers and greenery combined glamour with a pretty feminine feel.

Sinead and Dom opted for the Chevron Sequin Glitter Table Runners for their wedding reception, and they really added a touch of sparkle to their venue, fitting in perfectly with their wedding theme. The table runners looked wonderful with their golden calligraphy table names, and created an incredibly glamorous atmosphere for this happy couple's big day! The couple opted for a subtle golden colour scheme throughout their wedding day, and incorporated it into details such as their stationery and decor. You can buy or hire sequin glitter table runners from Magpie Linens, and there are a whole range of beautiful colours to choose from.

Their dessert table looked truly fabulous – especially with the addition of S & D light up letters to really make the table stand out. A gilded vintage frame detailed the wedding cake and gourmet doughnut flavours. If you want something a little different, a doughnut tower is always a fab alternative to a traditional wedding cake.

The couple were lucky enough to have General Fiasco as their wedding band for the evening, which was just the perfect finish to an amazing wedding day.

Table Centrepieces

If you want to go all out with your extravagant gold theme, you’ll adore our Champagne Sequin Tablecloths that’ll literally make your tables glitter! For maximum impact, team with opulent candelabras and metallic-inspired vases as your centrepieces. I love the idea of vintage gold frames to use as table numbers or place settings – this is also a relatively budget-friendly idea too.

Décor

The style of venue will depend on how much you need to decorate your wedding. If your wedding venue is already extremely grand, you won’t need to do much in terms of décor. If you want to keep your gold wedding simple, accessories our Champagne Sequin Tablecloths with simple vases full of ivory roses. This style is seriously elegant but has a subtle touch of glamour. Why not match your floral centrepieces to your wedding bouquet? This will help to keep your aisle style looking co-ordinated with your reception theme.

A Vintage Wedding with Extra Sparkle

Today we are sharing a beautiful, sunny wedding that took place in Sheffield. Happy couple, Marie and Duncan tied the knot in September 2015, at the stunning Mosborough Hall, a 12th century manor house. Nestled in the tranquil countryside, this wedding was an ultra glam affair with some serious sparkle!

Marie and Duncan opted for a vintage theme for their wedding day, with a colour scheme of classic cream and dusky pinks. Marie explains, “That’s why I wanted to hire the sequin table runners to add that extra sparkle to the day”. The happy couple hired our rose pink sequin table runners, which fitted in perfectly with their wedding theme. The couple’s gorgeous table décor looks beautiful with the pink sequin table runners and place settings. They definitely added a touch of glamour to their special day!

Marie was a particularly crafty bride, and made the majority of the wedding decorations herself! “It was a fairly big DIY wedding!” Marie made everything from the invitations to the DIY photo-booth and we must admit, we’re extremely impressed. A family friendly kindly donated some gorgeous vintage tea cups and sauces, which Marie added cream and pretty pink artificial roses to – this added to the overall ‘vintage’ feel of their big day and looked lovely with the pink sequin table runners.

This beautiful bride wore a show-stopping wedding gown, fit for a princess! She also accessorised with an incredibly cute, vintage umbrella – perfect for those all important wedding photographs. They used a vintage car as transport that complemented their big day perfectly.

We wish Marie and Duncan all the happiness for their future as a married couple. Thank you to photographer, Jill Robertson of Temporal Photography & Art for providing the images.

Liz and Andrew

Liz and Andrew

Today’s blog features the wedding of Liz and Andrew who got married last July at Dunkeld Cathedral in Perthshire, Scotland beside the River Tay (the River features dramatically in this wedding – the bride and groom did arrive at the reception by boat!)

Liz chose pastel colours for her colour scheme as seen in the pale blue and baby pink of the bridesmaids dresses, as well as the paper pompoms that hung over the top table.

Liz hired our gold sequin table runners, which contrasted beautifully with all the pops of colour. How gorgeous are the script place cards, and the favours with a nod to the couples surname?

We love how the marquee has been dressed for this wedding with the long top table in the centre and the white lanterns floating overhead

As well as the gold sequin runners, Liz and Andrew also hired our beautiful sequin chevron tablecloth for their cake cloth adding a lovely quirkiness to the decor. Liz told us she was very impressed with the quality of the sequined table linen, “They really added to our tables – especially the cake one!”

Many thanks to Liz for supplying the images of her beautiful wedding (copyright Neil Fordyce). We wish you and Andrew all the best for your future together! x
