Styled Shoot - The Little Mermaid

Back in October we were asked to be a part of this fun Little Mermaid-themed shoot

Our silver sequin tablecloth was adorned with an abundance of florals and nautical trinkets (glittered seashells? mmm yes please)

All elements had a nod to the seaside setting, without looking too contrived. I adore the detail of the pearls in the oyster shell on top of the cake

And I love the vibrancy of the blues and greens against our silver sequin linen

Styled Shoot - Modern Elegance

I was thrilled to see this styled shoot in the current issue of You & Your Wedding, featuring our champagne sequin tablecloth

Stylist Emma McDonald used a palette of gold and cream for a luxurious yet soft look, which is the perfect partner for our champagne sequin linen

Whilst the modern florals by Jay Archer contrasted beautifully against the grand surroundings, captured perfectly by Modern Vintage Photography

Every detail is just exquisite, from the cake to the stationery and the calligraphy place cards

I hope this gives you some inspiration on how to style our sequin tablecloths! x

"Time to drink champagne and dance on the table.."

Lydia and Steve

Today we are showcasing the jaw-dropping wedding of Lydia and Steve who got married in May of this year in Abbeyleix Church of the Most Holy Rosary, with their reception held in the spectacular Castle Durrow Co. Laois, Ireland. A seriously grand affair with a modern twist.

The couple at first weren’t sure on a colour scheme “When we first started wedding planning we were a little bemused by the idea of a theme!” but in the end they went for metallics contrasted with a beautiful dark teal.

We supplied the couple with table linen for their feature tables – our sequin champagne tablecloth adorned their Sweet tables, and our gold sequin tablecloth sparkled on the guest signing table (or guest globe in this case).

Lydia told us “I came across sequin cloths while on one of my many Pinterest hunts and knew that we had to have them for our feature tables. It was surprisingly difficult to source good quality cloths that weren't ridiculously expensive and I nearly gave up a couple of times until I came across Magpie Linens. Once I saw that I could hire the cloths I knew it was perfect!”

Silver also featured strongly in the wedding; Lydia’s dress had an applied silver diamante design across her waist and shoulders, and take a look at the back! Just stunning! Silver is also seen in the Groom’s tie and the enormous candelabras on the tables.

We love Lydia and Steve’s attention to detail with the pops of teal throughout.

“From start to finish it was so easy dealing with Magpie Linens and they were so helpful even offering advice on which colour/pattern would look best and sizes. Excellent customer service which is exactly what you need in the run up to your wedding day!”

A huge thank you to Lydia for supplying the images to us, copyright Mark Burton

We wish Lydia and Steve every success in their future together x

Elen and Aled's White Welsh Wedding

Elen and Aled

In June of this year Elen married Aled at Sylen Lakes in Five Roads, Llanelli in Wales. A self-confessed girly girl the wedding featured beautiful shades of pinks and golds.

The couple’s elegant table decor looks so crisp and fresh with the white linen and transparent tall vases, complimented perfectly by our champagne sequin table runners and cloth.

Magpie linens were so helpful when it came to choosing the right shade of gold I wanted to compliment the shade of pink I was having, sending me numerous samples before I made up my mind. I highly recommend if you want to add a unique touch to your wedding.”

Elen choose feminine pinks in the form of roses and carnations amongst baby’s breath and green foliage in her centrepieces. Every glittery table number was displayed within a pale pink frame with a short note underneath highlighting the significance of the number to the couple (how sweet!).

We love the boldness of the cakes - continuing the simplicity of the white seen throughout; the couple shook things up with gold sequin-like tiers and pretty piped flowers.

Many thanks to Elen for supplying images of her wedding to us (copyright Pure Creations Photography) – we wish you and Aled every success for your future together x

Styled Shoot - Aladdin

I'm so pleased to share this vibrant styled shoot that we were a part of recently. Georgina from Ruby Weddings - along with a host of super-talented suppliers - created this amazing Aladdin theme, which was captured by Shannon from SLR Photography

How spectacular is that floating flower display, by Penny Blossoms?!

And I'm totally swooning over these amazing floral chair backs!

Carefully selected props added the perfect punch of colour to create a dazzling tablescape

And model Sidra looked amazing with Hair and Make Up by Krysia Eddery and Rachael Parrey respectively

Swarn Cakes' fab creation co-ordinated perfectly with our gold sequin tablecloth

What do you think - has this inspired you to add a pop of bold colour to your wedding styling?
