Our NEW Winter 2017 - Spring 2018 Collection

Get the details on our brand NEW collection at Magpie Linens and add a touch of luxe to your wedding or event.

We are super excited to introduce the new winter 2017 – spring 2018 collection from Magpie Linens. With this collection, the focus is on the ultra luxe, through the inclusion of opulent textures and dramatic design.

There’s no denying that today’s bride is on the quest for something new. With couples aiming for a unique experience for their guests, the search begins for high quality linens, with a unique finish.

The season, the collection offers three unique variations; Velvet Opulence, Luxe Sequins and Exquisite Crochet – three very different textures with the perfect finish.

Velvet Opulence

Velvet Opulence is available in five rich jewel tones, perfect for the winter season. The velvet trend is huge right now. Models were seen sashaying down the autumn-winter runways adorning the luxurious texture so it was only a matter of time before the fabric made its way into the world of weddings.

At Magpie Linens, we have utilised the velvet trend to ensure it works wonderfully for your wedding. Table cloths drape beautifully over tables, while table runners add an infusion of colour and texture to a room. Whether used for guests’ tables or to give the cake table an unexpected twist, Velvet Opulence will add a whole new dimension to your wedding or event.

Luxe Sequins

Next up, our signature Luxe Sequins collections. Magpie Linens was born when proprietor Sophie was searching for sequin table cloths for her own wedding, so it is only fitting that they have retuned with difference.

There's no denying that today's bride is longing for something that sets her wedding apart from the rest, and our sequin tablecloths and runners definitely meet this demand. This collection sees the introduction of gold, navy and vine table cloths and runners, to make our collection even bigger and better. These offerings are perfect for the couple who crave an injection of sparkle for their day.

Exquisite Crochet

Here, at Magpie Linens, we have turned the connotations of crochets on its head! Forget dowdy doilies, as crochet gets luxe!

The Exquisite Crochet collection is available in pink and grey, with a subtle hint of sparkle carefully embellished throughout to effortlessly capture the light. These work well with any wedding theme, particularly those who long to exude vintage vibes on their wedding day.

So this season, if you're on the quest to find something unique for your wedding day, ensure your reception room is perfectly finished with our wide array of sequin tablecloths and runners.

Spring wedding ideas to add to your big day!

The new season has officially arrived and we're having a fling with spring. As a season that's all about the wonders of nature, it's the perfect time to get married. If you've chosen the season to say your "I dos", here we share just a few of our fave spring wedding ideas, which you can easily add to your day!

Get extravagant with florals

Spring really is a celebration of beautiful blooms, so it's the perfect time to add a botanical element to your day. If you long to create the wow factor, effortlessly achieve it with flowers. From dramatic floral backdrops (thanks to Kimye for the #inspo on this one), to extravagant arches and OTT centre pieces, the options are endless when it comes to adding blooms to your day.

Add sparkle with champagne tones

Spring is the perfect time to add some colour to your wedding day, but if subtly is your preference, go golden with Champagne tones. Our champagne sequin table cloths and runners are a customer favourite, adding sparkle wherever they go.

Get creative with colour

Or, if you dare to go bold, bright pops of colour are the way to do it! The use of colour is limited only by your imagination so get creative and see where it takes you. We are head-over-heels in love with this wedding, in which our gold sequin table cloths were set against the most beautiful use of colour. From falling flowers, to fascia pink seat covers it really has the wow factor, sure to leave a lasting impression on guests.

Embrace nature

With spring being the season which highlights nature's beauty, what better way to embrace it than by bringing the great outdoors indoors? Plus, Pantone's Colour of the Year for 2017 is 'greenery', so it's the perfect way to nail two trends at once. Our fave way to incorporate the trend is with subtle foliage, paired with our white sequin table cloths and runners to really make it pop.

Go rustic

For brides with a penchant for vintage, the rustic wedding theme is ideal for a spring wedding. Jam jars filled with rustic cuttings, lavender used lovingly as place settings and romantic candle light, all finished off perfectly with our lace or chevron runners to effortlessly exude vintage vibes.

Pastel perfection

Finally, it wouldn't be spring without an injection of pastels in sherbet lemon, blush pink, parma violet and mint green tones. If pastels are calling, their use is easy! Whether you opt to dress your leading ladies in your favourite colour, or get creative with your finishing touches, choose just one tone, or mix and match for a fresh take on the trend.

If you're feeling inspired by our spring wedding ideas and long for something a little bit different for your day, check out our selection of finishing, available to purchase or hire here.

Liz and Andrew

Liz and Andrew

Today’s blog features the wedding of Liz and Andrew who got married last July at Dunkeld Cathedral in Perthshire, Scotland beside the River Tay (the River features dramatically in this wedding – the bride and groom did arrive at the reception by boat!)

Liz chose pastel colours for her colour scheme as seen in the pale blue and baby pink of the bridesmaids dresses, as well as the paper pompoms that hung over the top table.

Liz hired our gold sequin table runners, which contrasted beautifully with all the pops of colour. How gorgeous are the script place cards, and the favours with a nod to the couples surname?

We love how the marquee has been dressed for this wedding with the long top table in the centre and the white lanterns floating overhead

As well as the gold sequin runners, Liz and Andrew also hired our beautiful sequin chevron tablecloth for their cake cloth adding a lovely quirkiness to the decor. Liz told us she was very impressed with the quality of the sequined table linen, “They really added to our tables – especially the cake one!”

Many thanks to Liz for supplying the images of her beautiful wedding (copyright Neil Fordyce). We wish you and Andrew all the best for your future together! x
